Job Interview Preparation and the ‘Great Job – Only If You Can Get It’ Checklist

The Online Course 'Preparing for Job Interview' and the checklist ‘Great Job – Only If You Can Get It’ were developed by Mission: Reconnect (Czechia) within the SkillCompass: Empowering Youth with Learning Differences through Inclusive Career Guidance Tools,co-funded through the Erasmus+ program.

Purpose of the tool

Looking for a job is not an easy task, especially for young people.
The purpose of this tool is to support young people—particularly those with specific learning difficulties such as: dyslexia or ADHD and other learning difficulties —to prepare themselves for their first job interview in advance..

The main idea is to provide practical advice applicable to any interview, as well as specific guidance for young people with diverse learning styles.
The tips can also be valuable for young people who will be looking for their first job in a few years, as they include guidance on using social media or building a CV.

The tool includes videos that are also useful for parents, career counsellors and youth workers who would like to start discussions with young people and prepare them for their first job interview.

In addition to the videos, the tool includes a checklist that can be used by young people to better understand the various elements of interview preparation and to identify areas on which to focus.
