SWOT Analysis for Career Orientation in Neurodiverse Classrooms was developed by Creative House (North Macedonia) within the Erasmus+ project SkillCompass: Empowering Youth with Learning Differences through Inclusive Career Guidance Tools.
This guide is a practical tool designed to help educators apply the SWOT methodology (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) when supporting neurodiverse students in the career guidance process. It is based on the identified lack of tailored career counseling support for this group of young people, offering a clear and accessible structure for mapping individual abilities and the external factors that influence the career development of neurodiverse youth.
Neurodiverse learners often struggle with traditional career guidance approaches that do not reflect their unique strengths, challenges, and learning needs. Educators need methods that promote individualized understanding rather than one-size-fits-all assessments.
The guide fills this gap by providing a clear and adaptable SWOT framework that helps teachers analyze student potential holistically. It ensures that career conversations consider both internal traits and external opportunities, ultimately supporting more informed and inclusive decision-making.
The guide is intended for educators, school counselors, special education teachers, youth workers, and professionals who support young people in planning their educational and career futures.
It can also benefit parents and caregivers who wish to better understand how to guide neurodiverse youth.
The guide includes an explanation of the SWOT model adapted for neurodiverse contexts, step-by-step instructions for conducting SWOT sessions, student-friendly worksheets, reflection prompts, and examples of completed SWOT profiles.
Its accessible structure makes it suitable for classrooms, workshops, or one-on-one guidance.

The guide can be applied in individual or group settings, during counseling sessions, career classes, or personalized support hours.
The guide enhances inclusion by making career orientation more accessible, personalized, and supportive for neurodiverse learners. It directly contributes to the SKILL-C project’s mission of creating equitable career guidance tools that empower all young people to discover and pursue their potential.
Download the guide and start using the SWOT method to build more inclusive, meaningful career pathways for your students. Empower neurodiverse learners to understand themselves and envision their future with confidence.
